A harvest moon is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox. It was not until the following morning that I realised that it was a very special full moon.

Photography exhibition ends today

My photography exhibition at the Sashay Gallery in Devizes, England, has ended today after running for three weeks. The exhibition attracted international interest within a day of opening.

The sublime view of Oliver’s Castle and Roundway Hill in the morning light will disappear forever if plans by Wiltshire County Council for quarries in Bromham cannot be stopped. Is the civil war connection a mere coincidence or an omen?

The address on the flyer, which came through my letterbox this morning, I understood. It read “dear fellow residents”. The stapled together pages addressed to “dear Bromham” confused me but I felt strangely empowered.

Who says ‘never work with children or animals’? I like working with both. They are unpredictable and curious but they are also thoroughly untroubled by a man with a camera, which makes them good photography subjects.
