When the Bromham quarry proposals became first known to residents less than two months ago, I started a photography project documenting “the destruction of a village”. I have now published some of this work in my book “I Object”.

When we had finished, my model said “I was buzzing after the shoot and feel very content having now fulfilled my vampire fantasy!” and I put her back in her coffin. There are of course no vampires in real life but I still feel a bit drained and people comment on how pale I look.

A perfect Indian Summer. Blue skies, 17º C mid-afternoon. Not quite summer anymore and not yet autumn. If the quarry plans in Bromham go ahead, this could be the last Indian Summer.
