The weather this morning – the temperatures as balmy as if it were spring already yet the rags of fog suggested a different season – inspired me to revisit my Austrian fog photographs.

Going to the coast in the winter is about the romance of bleakness. I think that Claude Lelouch’s unforgettable 1966 film “Un homme et une femme” may in part be responsible for my fascination with the seaside in winter.
