After the rain

It is disturbing that we often only employ a panoramic view of nature, when the very small details, which only reveal themselves upon careful examination, are so beautiful. I am using the term ‘careful’ purposely as the antonym of ‘careless’.

When the rain stops, we may only consider that the ground is sodden and the plants are wet. But ‘wet’ is not a uniform mass. ‘Wet’ is made up of countless drops of rain, and raindrops clinging onto the petals of a flower are delicate and beautiful. When was the last time that you stopped to look at raindrops on a leaf or a flower?
