April morning

Wolf | April 25th, 2012 - 09:03

A rainy and windy April morning. Photograph by Wolf Kettler.

The windows must be nearly as old as my house and pose no credible barrier to the cold south-east wind. Fat raindrops explode as they hit the drenched ground. The onslaught of the rain against my window is merciless. How much water can a cloud hold? Maybe not the torrents of spring but pretty damn close.

An elderly woman with a sodden newspaper struggles past my window. I should have stayed in bed.
