A modelling scam warning
Last night I received an e-mail from Elaine in the United States that somebody calling himself Hugh Pederson was offering modelling jobs on Facebook. He claimed that he worked for me and said something about the “Marie Claire Face of the Year”.
A preview of my photo session with model Oriental Silk, who is originally from Japan and now lives in Britain. Oriental Silk is 51 years old and also runs events around Japanese culture.
One motto, which is important in my work, is that everybody is beautiful, it just depends on how you look at them. The photographs in this series demonstrate, I believe, that the older, more mature body can still be beautiful and desirable.
I am looking for female models aged mid to late 20s to around 40 for a series of clothed, fashion-style portraits for my own self-promotion (portfolio, etc.).
I am looking for real women – previous modelling experience is not necessarily required. There are no minimum height restrictions but you do need to be healthy looking and reasonably slim.
For a series of photographs for my portfolio I need female models aged between late 20s and 40.
Photographers, like all artists, have to suffer for their art. The female model in this photograph wants it to be known that there was no sexual activity involved in the making of this photograph …
For photographs for my own self-promotion (portfolio, etc.) I need female models in their thirties.
Requirements:
Previous modelling experience is not necessarily required but you should be able to move confidently. All photographs are clothed.
This photo session is not for time. You will be paid and I may give a few digital images as an extra. The photo session will take place at my studio in January 2010 and will take two to three hours. A make-up artist will be available.

Life model Tom So and his new modelling partner, who has the insurmountable task of replacing the wonderful Magda, advertise their services to artists through their website. I have worked with Tom a few times in the past and he had asked me to create a new range of photographs for the site.
The BBC reports this morning that modelling agencies would be banned from charging upfront fees, under government plans to be announced later today.
