Funeral photography

Only recently has funeral photography been accepted as a meaningful contribution towards dealing with the loss of a loved one – as long as it is done respectfully.

I offer funeral photography that documents the spirit of a last good-bye, honouring a person, who was loved.

You will be dealing with many different emotions – loss, grief, saying farewell, not wanting to let go, seeking closure, the desire to celebrate a life that has entered a different stage and, perhaps, the coming together of a family.

I will listen to your particular requirements and create a package without burdening you with unnecessary details. On the day, I will work in a discreet and respectful manner, sensitive towards you and your family.

Photographs can include the mourners, service, hearse and procession, floral tributes, the last resting place, the wake and, if you so wish, portraits of the deceased. I can also include glimpses from a person’s life, such as their family, other people, who were significant, pets, possessions, home and garden.

The photographs can be produced as individual prints for you to keep and give to family and friends or as a bound hardcover book, in which I can include reproductions of your own photographs from times gone by.
