Look inside my studio

My photographic studio is perfect for private commissions: Away from the stress of everyday life in the serene Wiltshire countryside near Devizes and Chippenham, out of reach of the noises of the city, discreet and secluded, yet easily accessible by public transport and by car with plenty of free, off-street parking.

London is only about an hour by train and a short taxi ride. Bath, Bristol and Gloucester, Oxford and Swindon, Salisbury and Southampton, and the West Midlands are all within easy reach.

In his photographic studio near Devizes, Wiltshire, professional photographer Wolf Kettler creates fresh, handmade, professional portrait photography.

The self-portrait above (top left) was created with the background raised. The wall is painted off-white and I have used it as the background for many portraits. I also use coloured backgrounds, which are updated regularly. I will never consider using bright white backgrounds because I do not want my clients to look like cheap cut-outs. Naturally, I will not force you into cheesy poses.

My photographic equipment comes from only the best manufacturers: Cameras and lenses by Nikon; lighting equipment by Elinchrom, Quantum, Gossen, Photoflex and Manfrotto, and backdrops from Colorama.

My studio is not a sterile environment. It is an organic space with beautiful, old floorboards, and just the right size: Big enough for me to work yet small enough for you to feel comfortable and ready to open your soul to the camera.

I do not use so-called posers, the foam blocks for sitting people on that were so fashionable in the 1980s and are still found in some studios. Instead, I have access to various items of furniture with character that I change periodically.

The aim in all my portraiture is to make you, my client, feel relaxed, look beautiful and to find your inner essence.

Be different, be yourself – and let Wolf Kettler Photographer express your inner essence and natural beauty in his unique photographs. Contact Wolf Kettler Photographer now to discuss and book your photo session.
