The coldest summer

Wolf | September 1st, 2011 - 08:32

Looking towards the east from Lyme Regis at an area known as Golden Cap on the Dorset coast in England, UK. Photograph by Wolf Kettler.

I heard on the news this morning that the British summer of 2011 was the coldest in nearly twenty years, since 1993, which is somewhat disappointing because only in March I was hoping so much for a heat wave.

This photograph, made at the end of August 2011 at the Dorset coast looking towards the east from Lyme Regis at an area known as Golden Cap, seems to prove the point.
