Look inside my studio
My photographic studio is perfect for portraiture: Away from the stress of everyday life in the serene Wiltshire countryside near Devizes, out of reach of the noises of the city, discreet and secluded, yet easily accessible by public transport and by car with plenty of free, off-street parking.
London is only about an hour by train and a short taxi ride. Bath, Bristol and Gloucester, Oxford and Swindon, Salisbury and Southampton, and the West Midlands are all within easy reach, and many of my clients come from much further afield.
As far as studio work is concerned, I will never consider using bright white backgrounds because I do not want my clients to look like cut-outs. I do not use so-called posers, the foam blocks for sitting people on that were so fashionable in the 1980s and are still found in some studios. Instead, I have access to various items of furniture with character that I change periodically. Naturally, I will not force you into cheesy poses.
My studio is an organic space with beautiful, old floorboards, and just the right size: Big enough for me to work yet small enough for you to feel comfortable and ready to open your soul to the camera.
My photographic equipment comes from only the highest regarded manufacturers: Cameras and lenses by Nikon; lighting equipment by Elinchrom, Quantum, Gossen, Photoflex and Manfrotto, and backdrops from Colorama.
The aim in all my portraiture is to make you, my client, feel relaxed, look beautiful and to find your inner essence.
