Contact the Models Guide with your question about modelling
Before you decide to get a model portfolio, find out if you need one at all.
There are two ways of getting a portfolio: You can commission a photographer or aim to work for time.
Commissioning a photographer is to pay him (or her) to create photographs for your portfolio. The really useful model portfolio is an example.
Working for time (time for download TFDL, time for CD TFCD or prints for time PFT) is a creative collaboration between a photographer and a model. To get the most out of a for time shoot, it helps if you are somewhat talented. Attitude is important, too.
Both options have their specific advantages and disadvantages.
Whether commissioned or prints for time, don't just go to any photographer. Spend some time researching your options to ensure that you select the right photographer. Remember that quality is more important than quantity.
Also be aware that photographers, who say that they specialise in model portfolios, may be a good choice but may not be your best option by default.
