People who live with animals know that a pet is not simply an owned animal, but a member of the family. They have their own character, personality, habits and preferences. Because I love animals, I have strong views on the place of animals within the world. I enjoy photographing animals and I create stylish, artistic and unique animal portraits – a world apart from the usual sentimental and kitschy pictures. Cool as cats. As in my portraits of people, I aim to express not simply an appearance but the personality. All that is needed is a little patience, respect and understanding, and making a mental connection. There are no preconceived ideas or templates. I plan every photo session individually and every photograph is as individual as its subject. You can see some pet & "owner" portraits in my portfolio.
