My photographs want to portray the real you - call it per-sonality, inner essence or natural beauty.

Professional makeup changes your looks quite considerably. However natural it is kept, you will become a slightly dif-ferent person.

If you prefer a natural look and want to expose your inner beauty to the camera, I would suggest that you do your own makeup. I will be able to advise on what works well in photographs. You may also want to take a look at the make-up tips in the models section of my website.

If, on the other hand, you prefer a more glamorous, albeit somewhat less natural look, I recommend the use of a pro-fessional makeup artist. I am normally able to supply a hair and makeup artist. The cost of hiring a makeup artist comes on top of my own fees.

For male portraiture I have found that makeup artists are not normally necessary, unless you have very problematic skin - you may want to read the skin care for men advice.
