Very few people have perfect and smooth skin. All imper-fections, such as large pores, rough texture, spots, skin tags and oily areas, will be visible to some extent in extreme close-ups.
I can retouch the most obvious problems in close-ups but there is a limit to what can be achieved naturally. There is also the question of what is justifiable before one would enter the realms of makeovers in which the subject is largely unrecognisable.
Particularly noticeable skin problems are best dealt with at the stage of making the photograph by way of lighting and avoiding extreme close-ups. Professional makeup can play a part.
